About Mariette Frey
Known as ‘The Martha Stewart of Moving,’ I’ve developed the proven ‘FRED Framework,’ to look at all aspects of a move, guiding many friends and family members through their own relocations and life changes. ‘FRED’ stands for Finances, Robustness (mental and physical strength), Ecosystem, and Dreams. Starting with the dream, I reverse-engineer through the other pillars to provide the data you need to make informed decisions.
Lighting the torch for those behind me, I’m blazing a trail for you to get over your fears and perceived obstacles so you can explore your dreams in a safe, methodical, and let’s face it, fun way!
Only about half the people I coach actually move. Feeling content in that decision will help you thrive right where you are. The other half make the move, with a solid financial foundation and friends when they get to their new city.

The FRED Framework
The FRED Framework is made for the independent but indecisive individual dreaming about moving…a step-by-step plan that will prepare you financially, mentally, physically, and through community, all while keeping your dreams of moving to a new city at the forefront of all of those areas. We start with your dreams and then reverse-engineer you into the rest!

F is for FINANCES
There are so many questions that need to be answered before you can see if it makes financial sense to move. Budgets, decluttering and selling stuff can be fun really fun when you have a carrott of joy dangling in front of your face.

R is for ROBUSTNESS
Let’s talk through what’s normal to feel during a move, what anxiety or emotions could arise, & how you can prepare to overcome them ahead of time. Moving is also physically taxing even if you are in good shape and hiring movers.

E is for ECOSYTEM
It’s easy to overlook the everyday conveniences that you currently have in your environment. If you don’t explore stuff like this ahead of time, you’re setting yourself up for the 6-Month-Funk and trust me friends, it can get ugly.

D is for DREAMS
Ambition is put on your heart for a reason- we’ll reverse engineer you into that life! Is this move getting me closer to achieving my spiritual, financial, creative, crazy, big, hairy, audacious goals and dreams? It better be!

Why Choose You

‘A Ship in Harbor Is Safe, But that Is Not What Ships Are Built For’ – John A. Shedd
Picture the energy that will run through your body when you finally feel fully free. There’s no risk in exploring. It could be amazing and magical. Be…do…have.
Yes, I’ve got long and short-distance moves under my sparkly belt, but if you don’t know what you don’t know, fear might hold you back. I know, some of my moves almost didn’t happen.
If you already push yourself too hard, a move can really push you over the edge. I’m a joyful mover. It’s so much more enjoyable when you know you’re making the right decision.
